ST. MICHAEL'S

Members and friends at St. Michael's United Church of Christ, contributed $647.00 during the month of March, 2005 towards the One Great Hour of Sharing offering.

 On October 17, 2004 our
CROP Walk Team enjoyed
a sunny afternoon and
warm fellowship while raising
almost $1,000 to fight hunger.
Our thanks to our generous
sponsors!

With the grand opening of the Community Clothing Closet in July of 2004, St. Michael's began a new program of community service and outreach.  This ministry collects clean and gently used clothes and shoes, and once a month distributes them to those in need.

Weekly Benevolence offerings at St. Michael's support a variety of organizations and efforts outside of our church, including:

  • Our Church's Wider Mission (OCWM)
  • Seminaries
  • Lifelink (Bensenville)
  • Northwest DuPage Walk-in Ministry (Food Pantry)
  • Metropolitan Family Services DuPage
  • PADS
  • WAYS
  • Moms in School
  • Winfield Township Pastor's Fund

Each month we collect various non-food items for the Food Pantry, such as paper products, baby supplies, cleaning supplies, and personal care items.

In addition to the OCWM giving, which supports the efforts of the Illinois Conference and the United Church of Christ in the national setting, our congregation also supports four special UCC offerings:

  • Strengthen the Church
  • One Great Hour of Sharing
  • Neighbors in Need
  • Christmas Fund

We are committed to sharing our resources...along with sharing God's love and peace.
