St. Michael’s Rockwell Education, Mission, and Outreach Building is located behind the church at 108 Sherman Street. It is the home of the pastor’s office, the administrative assistant’s office, and the nursery, Sunday school, and choir rooms. On the lower level is the Community Clothing Closet where we have given away gently used clothing, shoes, and books the second Saturday of each month since July, 2004. On the second floor is the St. Michael’s sponsored program, PeaceJam’s meeting space. PeaceJam is a program for children and youth from third grade through high school. The Mission Statement of PeaceJam is “to create young leaders committed to positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world through the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates who pass on the spirit, skills, and wisdom they embody.” Read more about the Community Clothing Closet and PeaceJam by clicking the COMMUNITY OUTREACH tab.
The Rockwell Building is also home to three of St. Michael’s Community Partners: West Chicago Elementary School District 33’s Birth to 3 Program, Healthy West Chicago, and People Made Visible. For more information on these three outstanding programs, click on the USING OUR FACILITIES tab.
